FAIRFIELD, IOWA (January 9, 2023) – Cambridge Little Achievers Center (Jefferson County Kids, Inc.) celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony with its donors and project partners with over 90 attendees, including Director Beth Townsend from Iowa Workforce Development.

“We are humbled by the incredible support this project has received and eager to welcome our little achievers next week,” said Cambridge Little Achievers Center Director, Tiffany Finch. “This new center will build capacity upon the incredible child care infrastructure Fairfield and Jefferson County already has in place. We’re ready to open and serve the families working in our communities!”

The new 14,000 sq. ft. facility remained on track with its eight-month construction schedule, and will serve up to 185 children at full capacity from six weeks to 12 years of age.

Close to 20 staff have been hired for the initial opening, scheduled for Monday, January 16.

Applications are open for child enrollment along with applications for employment. Both can be found at www.CambridgeLittleAchievers.org or by contacting Finch at 641-209-8222

Cambridge Little Achievers Center’s mission is to instill, encourage, and further a love of learning while providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of the child. The new child care and early education center is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The Jefferson County Kids Board of Directors, along with Grow Fairfield Economic Development Association and Early Childhood Iowa, partnered with over 45 employers, the State, County and City, and multiple non-profit organizations and individuals to bring the project to fruition.
