Fairfield Arts and Convention Center
Located in the heart of downtown, the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is a gathering place designed to showcase a world of arts and culture. This beautiful facility promises a rich and diverse season of entertainment, featuring music, comedy, theater and dance performances. This center reflects the city’s rich tradition of family, community and pride and is one of the most comprehensive arts and convention centers in the state of Iowa, featuring a state of the art Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, expo hall, flexible meeting room space, art gallery and commercial kitchen, providing a sophisticated backdrop for meetings and performances.
The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center opened in 2007 and is an interesting retreat by day and the jewel of Fairfield by night. The Center is home to the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, the first building in the United States to be named for celebrated composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. The theater features an intimate 522-seat proscenium theater.
The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center offers flexible meeting space to accommodate gatherings of nearly any size, including a full range of catering and banquet options. The Center features more than 12,000 square feet of flexible meeting space available for rent, including the Fairfield Economic Development Association Executive Conference Room, Cambridge Investment Research Meeting Room, Dick and Judy Smith Meeting Room, Iowa State Bank Atrium and the Manufacturers Association Expo Hall.
