Agri-Industrial Plastics Company (AIP) has pledged $100,000 to Jefferson County Kids’ new child care center capital campaign.

“We are proud to be part of the Jefferson County Kids child care center campaign. AIP has always made it a priority to support our employees and the community at large. This child care center fills a need in our community and is a great support for working families,” said Lori Schaefer-Weaton, President of Agri-Industrial Plastics Company.

“In our nearly 50 years of living in Fairfield, we have always appreciated how family-oriented the community is,” said Dick Smith, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Agri-Industrial Plastics Company. “From our schools and sports opportunities, to traditions like the Kids Day Parade, children have always been a priority. We have also enjoyed the opportunity to support local organizations like 4-H and African Violet Foundation. The new child care center will help to continue this emphasis, while also being an invaluable resource to parents. We are proud to be part of it.”

Jefferson County Kids Board of Directors launched the campaign approximately 12 months ago with a goal to build a child care center to add more child care spaces, to support the growing workforce in Fairfield. This pledge boosts the capital campaign to 90% of its $3.5M goal.

“We are proud to have Agri-Industrial Plastics as partners. We are very thankful and humbled by their generous donation. The support we have received from the Fairfield community has been remarkable. We are so close to our goal,” said Teri Bockting, Vice President of Jefferson County Kids.

Jefferson County Kids continues to prioritize reaching its capital campaign goal and is working through finalizing design plans while aiming for a late 2021 opening. For more information visit: www.growfairfield.com/childcare
