FAIRFIELD, IOWA – Fairfield Economic Development Association (FEDA) welcomes its first tenant to the new Fairfield South Business & Industrial Park. CARE Ambulance LLC (CARE) and FEDA recently finalized the purchase and sale of a parcel within the Park. CARE is the incoming contracted ambulance service provider for Jefferson County.
“CARE Ambulance is excited to be welcomed into the Fairfield community. Thank you to FEDA for the opportunity to be the first business in the new business park. We look forward to watching the community grow and are happy we were chosen to be your EMS provider for the community,” said Denice Libby, with CARE Ambulance LLC.
CARE purchased a one-acre lot. An existing dwelling on the site will be renovated to its commercial operations center and ambulance garage. Construction improvements have begun and are slated to be completed by October.
Amy Jones, FEDA’s Board President, stated, “We appreciate the opportunity to work with CARE Ambulance on the sale of land in the business park. CARE will bring 20 high quality jobs to Fairfield.”
The 60-acre business & industrial park is located on East 227th Street and is an investment FEDA made in 2015 to position the City and County for further growth.
Joshua Laraby, FEDA’s Executive Director, added, “The location being near Jefferson County Health Center and adjacent to the Hwy 1- Hwy 34 interchange is a prime location for this essential medical service to the community. We welcome CARE Ambulance to Fairfield and to the business park and look forward to other businesses joining the ranks.”
